Hi everyone...I'm new here.

Yeah back to the story, I am losing my hair now....I started to notice my a little hairloss when i was 19...But i ignored it as i thought it might be due to some diet problem. But as mths passed, OMG, I'm losing them at a faster rate and now i can see the balding patch already....

I have tried using minoxidil but been using it on/off as i shed more when using it. Anyone here can advise me....

TOTALLY STRESSED AND FREAKED here....
Life's been dull since then

Don't worry you can save your hair! Propecia/finasteride is what you need. Read around and see what's involved...

Minoxidil does not tackle the hairloss problem. You will continue to lose hair. The only thing minoxidil will do will grow 'new' hair or regrow your 'dead' hair. Resultant hair from minoxidil will not be saved by propecia when you end minoxidil.

Propecia and, to a much lesser effect, nizoral will save your hair. However, I would not rely on Nizoral too much. It's a very mild.

You can also try duta if you wish, but it's not FDA approved yet and more expensive. However, if you don't care about either, you can look for advice in that forum.

If you're balding in the front, or a receeding hairline, I would tackle the problem quickly. This is the hardest area to grow back. I wouldn't suggest adding minoxidil too quickly as you will not know what grew hair there. Wait a period of 6m-1yr and decide if you want to see if foam will work for you. If you check out Dietcola's story, you'll see someone who had a lot of success on the hairline with foam. There's other success stories with the foam, too.

Yo...thx for the quick reply man.
I have been wondering whthr minoxidil actually stop hairloss? or it's just as you said, regrow hair?

Well, My front hair is actually fine. It's just the top, It's thinning and getting worse...But i can also see that my frontal hair receding. Lots of baby hair over there.

I think I'm breaking down soon...Btw, Is hereditary hairlos curable? I think I inherit it from my dad... :(

There's currently no cure for hereditary hairloss. There's only treatment, which is a life long process. However, there's a lot of promising treatments and comestic surgery that may eliminate the life-long treatment or lessen the load of it.

You need a DHT blocker such as Propecia. DHT is the hormone which causes hairloss in genetically prone men. If you don't tackle it you will continue to lose hair.

Propecia? seen this many times but i still have no ideas about it...Is it something to be consumed?

So basically I need smtg to block DHT and use minoxidil at the same time...is it alright to use them at the same time?

Anyone have results already..here?

its like a rubbing alcohol type of thing that you rub on your scalp to make
it healthier. it wont help with male pattern baldness no youre best off with the big three really - have a look at peoples regimens. some crazy people even
rub apples on their heads! :)
