Losing Hair Why And What Options Now

I had 2 hair transplants 14 years ago.
Although my donor hair wasn't great I was very happy with the results.
Everything was good until recently.
Last summer I started on a nutritional program with a MD specializing in natural cure.
I had low thyroid levels and wanted that addressed.
I was largely on iodine and natural thyroid supplements.
My health got phenomenal.
My hair even seemed to be getting thicker.
Then somewhere in there my hair started to change as far as getting finer and hard to control.
I also noticed it thinning.
I look at before and after picture from last fall until now and I'm extremely concerned about the results.
I'm stopping the natural supplements as of today.
My question is what else should I do?
I'm thinking about going to my medical doctor and asking him as well as blood tests.
I'm also considering PRP injections as well as follicular unit hair transplant.

I did PRP injections to support 2 hair transplant.
I had no benefits.
You say you did not have great donor some years ago. Is that still the case, since you say you are considering another transplant?
Are you on any meds?

Thanks for the feedback on PRP.
I was going to try one session for $300 and see results figuring it's low cost risk.
I did the traditional hair transplant 13 years ago,
Now I'm hoping to get re-evaluated since follicular unit might be different for donor hair.
I'm on prozac for depression and seroquel for sleep.
I've been on them for 20 years.
One thing that I also remember changed is I was getting testosterone injects for low T.
I stopped last December.
But in google testosterone shots don't affect baldness.
That's the only other thing I can think of.

I am unsure that FUE is very different than FUT as regards the donor area. You need to still have enough "sane" hair in the safe zone, that is to say the part of the back and sides which is less likely to have hair which will not be affected by DHT in the future.
In my opinion, two things might have happened. I say this because something similar seems to be happening to me...

1. You have started to lose the hair that was there before the transplant (was there any? Do you use finasteride?)
2. You have started to lose (it is infrequent but it happens) transplanted hair, because your "safe" donor are was not so safe after all.

In both cases, an additional FUE session could help you; I am unsure other treatments could help.
Or: you could use finasteride for six months, if you are not doing it already, and see if it improves, then decide.

Fluoxetine — better known as Prozac — is the most commonly reported antidepressant to cause hair loss, according to the Melbourne researchers. The team say increased hair loss occurs up to one year after the start of medication and stops when therapy ends.Oct 8, 2012
