So it's pretty well known that upon discontinuation of minoxidil you will lose all of your minoxidil-dependent hairs after a short period of time.
My question is say you experience regrowth from either ketoconazole 2% shampoo or as a result of the 1% adenosine contained in S5 Bedtime Cream.
Say you hypothetically stop using both of these two treatments and only continue using S5 Day Cream. Will you lose any hair? Are the hairs grown via ketoconazole and adenosine dependent on the continued use of the medication?
Technically the hair growth experienced from ketoconazole should be due to its antiandrogenic effects, correct? and hence the only thing that needs to stay constant is inhibition of DHT.
I don't really know much about adenosine in regards to Androgenetic Alopecia besides what I've read in these studies in which it is slightly less effective than 5% minoxidil:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24183218
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25925959
and for those unaware of the possibility of regrowth from ketoconazole 2%, it regrows as much hair as minoxidil 2% as show in this study:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9669136
I ask this because say they hypothetically change the formula for S5 Bedtime Cream and remove the adenosine. What will happen if I'm using it for x amount of years and then start using the new formula?
