Hi guys new to the forums here, so just some back story I've been balding since I was about 19 and I'm now 24, its luckily been a somewhat slow process and I'm only at about a NW2. I'm currently on no aggressive regimen, mainly just vitamins, exercise, and diet.

For me personally the receding hairline doesn't really bother me, but whats kinda annoying is the current state my hair strands are in. They are thin, frizzy, and have a very dry appearance to them. In addition it seems at a certain length the growth stops all together or at least creeps along so slow its not noticeable. I used to have pretty thick/long/healthy hair and I know male pattern baldness has had a big effect on that, but I have also seen people with hair loss similar to mine except with hair that was still pretty thick and looked healthy.

So I guess my question is are there any products/supplements/oils out there that you guys have used that helped thicken your hair, or just gave it that healthier more vibrant appearance. I'm also looking for a good shampoo conditioner combo, not a hair loss package but just a daily shampoo that isn't harmful to your hair (no sulfates etc.) I personally never plan on doing any of the big 3 so I'm not really looking for those as suggestions, just natural non aggressive things that will improve my hair health not so much looking to reverse the hair loss. Thanks guys

you can try to improve the appearance using oils maybe like argon oil or something however the health of hair is determined by its thickness and its capacity to grow unimpeded by androgens. You can't do anything to fix that unfortunately without medications so you will have to rely on styling products to enhance the appearance. I am not well versed in this area but have heard of things like applying refined coconut oil to your scalp and letting it soak up so look into things like that.

I find OGX's Biotin and Collagen conditioner makes my hair look way more full and vibrant. It also happens to be sulfate free(a quality that's way overrated though)

Really fighting a losing battle though if you're not even willing to consider actual male pattern baldness treatments
