Hi guys,

So this is my current position hair wise:

I have been on finasteride for 6 months now and it doesnt seem to be creating any re-growth for me. Every day i manage to concea this pretty well:

But after doing this for around a year and a half, it is getting tiresome. I had given some thought to a hair transplant but from what I have researched, diffuse thinners arent great candidates because the other hairs can then fall out due to shock?

Another route i was thinking of is scalp micropigmentation. I think the “created hairlines” look pretty bad and obvious, but as mine is still quite intact, do you think I could get away with SMP to hide the bald areas and thicken up the front a little? Obviously i will then be keeping a shaved head, not having my hair at the length it is now

Any advice is appreciated

Cheers

For white men it does not look as good as it does for darker skin tones. You can add Topical Minoxidil+derma rolling once a week or if you have tried this and it has failed you can add oral Minoxidil 1-2mg/day.

I can't even see scalp in the second photo, nor your hairline. How would we know if you'd be a good candidate for anything? From that angle you look like a Silver Fox stud muffin...

Thanks guys, I dont particularly want to start adding in minoxidil and becoming dependant on that, its bad enough relying on finasteride for the last 6 months, which is why i think SMP may be a good option so I wont need either

The second photo is how my hair looks generally during the day and how I mask the bald spots - which is why they arent visible, definitely not a silver fox at 29! Probably just the shine from hairspray!
