Looking For Cure For Hair Loss At The Vertex

Hello,

I am 34, male. I had an excellent dense hair before 31. While I moved from Europe to California, the hair loss started slowly from the vertex of my head (with a high probability due to the high weather-based stress on the skin and hair in the west coast and also due to the high work stress). The hair loss does not stop and if it continues, I might lose the entire of my hair in my front within 1-2 years.

Note that my mother families have excellent dense hair while my father families are opposite and the males have significant hair loss. It should not be an inherited hair loss and it should be cured.

Is there a cure for this hair loss? Does anyone know a treatment or a doctor that can cure it?

The closest thing to a cure we have today is finasteride or dutasteride. The reason they aren't considered cures is because if you stop taking it, you will continue to lose hair. Another thing you can use is minoxidil, although I don't recommend using it without finasteride or dutasteride. Hair transplantation is also another option, but once again I do not recommend it without using finasteride or dutasteride. There are also several new treatments (possible cures) on the horizon so hang tight.

I think both finasteride and dutasteride have side effects on males and it might be needed to do sperm count tests regularly. Does anyone know the way to use them with minimized side effects? Shall I do regular sperm count test and via doctors? Also do they require prescription?
