For two reasons:

1) It gives you hope

2) It makes you realize that unless you're using at least one of the big three, you're in for a VERY tough fight.

If you're in the vast majority, and you want to keep or re-grow a little hair, you need an oral 5ar, minoxidil, and a topical anti-inflammatory (Nizoral)

You got a 10% chance it will do really well, and a 60% chance you will regrow or maintain, or something like that. The rest continued to lose hair, or maybe lost more. On average of all of them, they do better than placebo. Someone always does worse than the placebo average. Not scientific to compare individual people, just averages.

We need to know if the minoxidil group had a wider spread than the placebo group. That could tell us if it can hurt some people.
