long hairs might come back shorter?

I think i'm about to start finasteride, so worried about a shed as the front of my head (of long hair) doesn't seem as thick and strong as the rest.

I believe hairs which are already long will regrow that way (*if* they shed).

Regrowth is often preceeded with a long period where the hair growth appears to stall it's growth for often more than a year before it falls out and grows normally.

no. maybe, but not always. I's different for every person. Put Toppik on your head for awhile if it bothers you.

Ah, my relpy was a little confusing; I meant long mature hairs will regrow immediately and at full strength *if* they shed.

NEW regrowth, i.e. hairs whaich had vanished or were barely more than vellus will go through the long growth cycle.

Also, even if you do experience significant shedding, it is generally hairs which were due to vanish for good soon anyway...

It's not the case that a hair will grow shorter, but that it's anagen phase has been shortened by hormonal damage. It will also grow THINNER. My dad's got some long *** hairs on his head, but they're so thin if you aren't looking for them, you won't find them.

I say guys shouldn't have long hair personally. Only room for one Fabio on this planet, and even then that's too much. Cut your hair, cut up your body, and cut out the worrying bout hairloss.

There's PLENTY more important things in life. Like, what is the f*****g army gonna serve me for breakfast? Yeah, that's a good question.

What's the army going to serve you for breakfast! no, I think hairloss is more important than that know what you're saying about the worrying but it's easier said than done. As for the long hair / dufus complexion that's a taste thing, although - I probably do look like a bit of a dufus.

I know the feeling, I been fighting (well, actually just whining about) this demon for about 3-4 years now, and I just said f*** it. So whatever. It makes everything a lot easier to deal with once you accept it.

yeah sure. if I loose a lot and it's very visible i'll porbably also say f it - but till then i'll put up a bit of a fight see if I can keep what I have
