... well maybe not but what do you think about this:

Long hair needs a lot more nutrients and other "resources" to maintain than short hair.
Since it requires so much, is it possible that your body starts compensating by slowing down or halting hair growth in other areas in order to allocate more energy to your long hair?

This sounds like that old saying - if you cut it short, it will grow back thicker.

^ Is it possible that there is some truth to it?
Short hair certainly takes a lesser toll on your body so with all that remaining energy, the new hair should grow back thicker... :dunno:

Hair is dead keratin once grown it does'nt require any nutrients. And shaving doesnt make it grow back thicker, how could it?

because it takes less "energy" to maintain short hair. That extra energy goes into making existing hair thicker

Hair loss? No way. But it may cause thinning in some people as far as I observed, if that person is low in hair-growth nutritients.

No hair grows at the same rate wether its stubble or long. Once that hair is pushed out of the follicle its just dead material.

how is it dead if the hair is still growing...

I actually heard this from a nurse that said that keeping hair short is better because it takes a lot more "resources" from your body to keep long hair. <--- is it not true??

No its absolute tosh, and the follicle (ie beneath the skin) is producing more keratin keratin is just a dead substance like the scab over a wound.
When you cut your hair it does'nt bleed or hurt does it?
