liver problems affect how you respond to finasteride?

Anybody heard anything like this?

I've posted about it on my update thread ages ago but curious. I started to experience side effects within the first week of taking finasteride. almost EVERYBODY here and even my doctors told me the first week is too early to start experiencing anything. So i rode it out for three months, problems persisted. So i went to the Doctor, got my hormones ect tested. Testosterone was fine, on the higher side but my liver enzyme count was prettty high. He told my liver enzyme count shouldn't be any higher than 40 and mine was 90. Now, my gp told me it's common that livers can respond badly to any medication and over time it will do damage and told me to go off finasteride for 3 weeks - a month, get re-tested and see if my enzyme count goes down to confirm whether finasteride actually had an affect. Within the month, my sides are going away. But i was just thinking it's probably pretty likely the liver problem is a separate issue not induced by finasteride. Is it possible having a prior liver problem affected how i responded to the drug?

Maybe I'm just in denial that I have no options left lol.
