Does the following describe what you have....

10 tablets in bubble packs - white plastic with foil underside?
Round blue tablets with no name?
"Fincar" - clear against blue field with "Finasteride Tablets" above it?
"Fincar" - 5x above the top and 5x across the bottom?
"Cipla" and "Mfd by Cipla LTD, Virgonagar, Bangalore"

Along with the usual patient information?

If so, these are fake.

The FBI recently uncovered a group of drug counterfeiters operating a lab in South Florida. Apparently, they were making "generics" for all kinds of popular substances - Propecia, Tylenol, Tums, Ephedra free Hydroxy cut, Necco Wafers etc... - all of which (and more) are in very high demand on the black market. An FBI spokesman was quoted as saying: "left unchecked, these drugs would become more popular (and therefore dangerous) than cocaine and heroin. The potential for the underworld cartels and subsequent related crime was staggering. Good thing we nipped it in the bud..." The FBI also released labeling information so consumers could easily identify if they had received this phony product.

So, toss it and buy more from a reliable source - I'm sure you didn't spend much anyway - and call it a lesson learned.
