Lee's: Why 8 hrs betw. app's if you can wash after 2 hrs?

On Dr. Lee's website he says that you should apply the second dose of his minoxidil at least 8 hours after the first, but you can shampoo your hair two hours after any dosage-- why is that? Can there be too much minoxidil in the scalp?

As with any drug the levels disipate over time. By waiting 8 hours you are ensuring that the drug, in this case minoxidil, is maintained all day. If you applied it again two hours after the original application nothing would happen except that in the later hours of the day or night the levels would drop so it would not be as effective. Kinda like how some prescritions say take one pill in the morning and one before bedtime.
