Lasercomb - evidence? what evidence?

I have been considering buying the Hairmax lasercomb even if it is just to make my hair look thicker then it currently is. Having done a search on the forums - here is the info that was being posted

1) Phase II clinical trials have concluded and results have been submitted to the FDA

2) The comb is already approved in Canada

Unless my research skills are really bad something is wrong as I went to both the FDA site and Clinicaltrials.gov and could find no reference at all to any studies on hairloss under Hairmax , Lexington or anything.

Secondly the "approval" by Health Canada and the claim that it has a Medical Device Licence also seems to be fishy as I downloaded a list of Licence holders off the Health Canada site and neither Hairmax or Lexington were listed.

So can anyone post any links that verify these two claims as actually true?

Fair questions. You could try posting this on their site forums and see what happens.

thintop where are you getting this information from?

Also if there was a phase 1 or 2 trial wouldnt evidence of this be listed anywhere on the FDA/Clinical Trial site or is this not how it works.

Incidentally I did post this query on their forum today - whilst i was there I read a post from someone else asking a similar question and the moderator totally ignored the question and instead pointed to a study in a peer review journal (with a link from Hairlosstalk on the study) I have read that study before and was impressed with the results -

still doesnt answer the question though. I guess i'll wait for their reply if they respond since its reduced in price I was considering giving it a try.

Hey HairLossTalk.com is it true that there would be no reference AT ALL to any clinical studies or trials or applications for approval in existence until the various phases in the FDA approval process are carried out? Wouldnt the company have to publicise it somewhere in order to enrol participants on the trial?

had another scout around clinicaltrials.gov and couldnt find anything - so the only source relating to phase II FDA trials is the Lexington Press Release at the moment.

I decided to use their online chat facility on the site to ask my question

this is what happened

Jennifer C: How may I assist you?
Me: Hi I have a query about the FDA trials - I checked on clinicaltrials.gov and they don't seem to be listed there
Me: Im very interested in purchasing a lasercomb but wanted reassurance that trials are actually happening
Me: its possible I may not be looking properly perhaps you could provide a link I can visit?
Currently experiencing network delays, one moment please....
Jennifer C: Unfortunately, I do not have any information regarding the FDA trials. When there is any information given, it will be placed on the website for customers to view.
Network connection re-established.
Jennifer C: I have not been given an estimated time of when the data from these trials will be available to the public. You would have to keep checking the website.
Jennifer C: Is there anything else I can help you with?
Me: I see - I wasnt actually looking for data on the trials - rather some evidence that they have actually taken place but thanks anyway
Jennifer C: your welcome, have a good night then!
Me: trials that are completed, recruiting and suspended are all listed on that site

[No reply given after that]

So that seems to be their standard company line. Is it just me or is that really shady?

Hey weepy - yep Ive read a few of the previous posts where he was ousted as being a shiller - I actually found them quite amusing! - im not a very confrontational chap myself so I was sort of embarrresed to shoot him down again with the whole ebay reference thing which to his credit he didnt do on this thread.

Im still puzzled as to why the clinical trials are only mentioned on the lexington press release but I have to say at least the "approved in Canada" thing turned out to be genuine.

Im contemplating the Laser thing, but is there any scientific evidence behind it, and moreover is there anyone who was benefited from it.

I tend to wonder!
