I had stopped using Rogaine for a while (used Spectral DNC because it smelled better/didn't mess up hair) even though I had been using Rogaine for a while. When I decided Spectral wasnt doing anything as my hair previously responded to Rogaine in the past. I switched back to Rogaine two months ago. I just finished my second can from the pack of three that I got. I'm also on finasteride as well, having started taking that I think around May of 2012 or so (stupidly I waited a year after my hairloss had gotten noticeable in the crown). I also use a keto shampoo twice a week or so. Since going back on Rogaine I've been noticing a pretty massive shed of rather longer older hair up top, its causing my hair to look a little frazzled (my hairloss is sort of diffuse rather than completely concentrated but mostly on the crown and towards the front) and sparser than ever right on my hairline.
Because Ive been shedding so much though and this is more just to help maybe quell some of my anxiety (im only 23) is it safe to assume perhaps by April I'll be seeing maybe some rather nice regrowth since both finasteride and rogaine cause pretty decent amounts of shedding on their own since they are triggering telogen effluvium telogen phases?
Because if that's the case then I should hopefully be growing back quite a bit of hair going by a lot of this hair being sheded...in theory right? At least the ones I've been shedding?
