I have been struggling with the start of Finasteride for almost two years. I’ve lost a lot of ground be still have a decent head of hair. Dermatologist called it a diffuse Norwood 1.5.
I wanted to take a systematic approach to the trial to avoid staying on too long or stopping too soon as I pay attention to sides.
I did a full round of hormone labs and despite being in good health most of the hormone levels that Finasteride impacts were low normal.
I’m concerned it’s a recipe for side effects if I start Finasteride and the levels drop below range.
Looking for any advice or charts that show ranges to track. I have a ton of new numbers but not even the endocrinologist can correlate them to Hairloss.
I am ready for a calculated risk but low levels and drug that will drop them further seems like a bad recipe for success. I have brand propecia and a topical option ready to go.
