I just bought some of this stuff today and was excited because its so much cheaper than rogaine. so whats the deal with them saying to only apply it on the crown/vertex on your head? I read the topic about using it on your hairline and front of your head so i guess some of you guys do it. And is this generic stuff as good as rogaine or other brand names?

The consensus is that the generic is as effective as the original. Even the Rogaine website advises using the generic if you take time to watch their videos - 'Hi, I'm Tom, use the generic, it's cheaper.' Drawl.

They only studied the vertex, so they can only claim the vertex. But, it's worked for a lot of people in the temporal region.
