Does anyone know what Kirk of Metallica does to conceal his hair loss? I had no idea he was even losing hair until I saw that recent documentary they did called Some Kind Of Monster. For the most part, Kirk appears to have thick hair throughout the film, except for a scene where the band is in the studio. You can see straight through his hair completely on top. This is the best photo I could find:

After I saw the movie, I searched online and found this article where he admitted to using Rogaine and also said that his hairdressers do something to make his hair look fuller. Anyone have a clue what they do? Because it sure looks real whatever they are doing.

He has been taking Rogaine for about 13 years now. I remember him saying something about it.

Buy some thickening shampoo/conditioner and if you style it get some thickening gel/cream. It's also good to ask your stylist to cut it to give the illusion of thicker hair and keep it short. Short hair always looks better.

Right, I definitely agree about keeping hair shorter. But Kirk's hair is definitely not short, so I'm wondering how he hides his thinning? I've seen many photos of him where he does not appear to be thinning at all, so he must indeed be using some sort of cover-up.
