Hey guys,
So I am 19, with mild diffuse hair loss in the front (very visible in sunlight/harsh lights but not so much otherwise) and thinning in the crown. I just started rogaine foam a few days to hopefully get those areas to thicken up. But I have a few questions about this stuff:
1) How much should I apply? I've been applying about the half-cup full that's suggested on the bottle, and I feel as though it may be too much. It really soaks up my hair, and it ends up spreading to areas of my hair with no balding (like the areas surrounding my crown). Should I work to apply less of it and strictly on my thinning areas? Or is getting it on areas that aren't balding not a big deal? I don't want to shed hairs in areas I don't need any thickening.
2) I know this varies from person to person, but on average, how much do people shed? If it's just a few weeks of reasonable shedding, I don't think it'll take too much of a blow on my appearance. But if it gets bad, how long do I have to wait to get back to baseline? I start school again in September, and I don't want to have thin hair from shedding. Do you think I'll look worse, the same, or better in 2.5 months, compared to now?
Thanks.
