Just received my Tricomin

Hi fellas,

I just received my first bottle of Tricomin from drugstore.com and I have a few questions about it.

How many sprays should one 'normally' use per day, in order to get effective coverage and make the bottle last long?

Also, at what distance from the scalp should the spray be applied?

I had shampooed with nizoral today already, and styled my hair with Loreal 'wet look' gel before the package arrived... so my hair and scalp were already dry and styled when I did my first Tricomin application.

It feels good, it's got that menthol cooling to it and I applied 'liberally' as the bottle suggests. Not only did I spray it on my crown/vertex where I'm thinning most, I applied to my hairline also, which is still thick. Is this a good idea?

My itch spots have calmed down a lot lately, but I still feel my scalp needs conditioning to be totally healthy again and I need to get rid of these random daily itch spots (which I usually resist scratching, and they go away). My hopes for Tricomin is that it will deal with this problem.

Any advice on good Tricomin techniques?

-Mike

When I use my folligen spray - I hold the bottle about 3 inches from my head and use anywhere from 10 - 14 spritzes - which gives me pretty good coverage over my entire head (I do the temples too :)

first of all: I love this stuff!

I (still) have very thick hair, so I have to go crazy with the sprayer. I put it all over my head, using maybe 20-25 sprays, and then rub it in using my hands. To make up for my wasteful usage, I use 2/1 diluted Tricomin (with purified water). So one new bottle goes in two.

I put in enough of it that I use it for a 'wet gel' looking sometimes, when I can't be bothered to put in mousse/gel.

I'm hesitant to dillute my mix, I like the way the concentration feels already, even after my first application! :D It's cooling and doesn't have any sting and my scalp isn't reacting negative in any way...

I tried Folligen last year and it was overly strong I think because it caused me stinging/irritation... it could also be that my scalp wasn't in as good of shape as it is now, but I think it's because the Tricomin solution is better stuff overall.

I don't wanna over-apply, I need the bottle to last because this stuff is expensive!

Wash out an old bottle of Minoxidil (completely) and use a new dropper, bo ya.I use about .5ml a day (almost everyday). It's enough to ease my irritation. If you can't use an old bottle, about 3 sprays will due to job.

Fantastic product.

I just did my evening shampoo and used nizoral with some T/Sal mixed into it... conditioned with Pantene as usual... and after my hair dried I applied a good all-over spraying of Tricomin..

MAN THIS STUFF FEELS GOOD!

:p

Yeah, I use the American Crew stuff, but have used tricomin many times in the past. There is no question that it really makes your scalp feel great!!! I think cu peptides are a vital part to everyones regimen!!

I really hope this helps thicken and keep my scalp itch free and healthy.

I'm going to cut back on my T/Gel and just go nizoral 2x weekly, rotated with some more gentler shampoos.... as I think the use of this Tricomin should replace my need for T/Gel Stubborn Itch formula. I will still do a T/Sal wash from time to time.

3 sprays seems to be nowhere near enough to get full scalp coverage!

Yup.. I'm applying liberally, though I might dillute with distilled water when the bottle becomes halfway empty... not sure yet.

Also, does anybody know if it is normal or not to experience any tingling/itchy effect uring the first few weeks of daily Tricomin use? In other words, will it take a few weeks before the scalp 'settles' to a healthier condition with the use of this product?
