Hello hello, first post and all.
I am twenty four and first discovered what I thought was hair loss at about nineteen-twenty and at twenty one started taking procerin which really slowed down the amount of hair I would find at the bottom of the shower basin every morning, and possibly has stopped my hairline receding: or so I though!. I have my hair medium length and it gingerly covers my forehead, allowing my temples to corner off without my ever noticing. While I might have in the beginning responded a little too hastily to the maturation of my hairline with a bottle of saw palmetto a month, I am certain this temple cornering is true receding hair. So I ordered a six month supply of minoxidil 5% by the brand Spectral UHP, a brand with a posh looking box and a confident blurb, to endow my oral regime with some topical.
So the box comes arrives today and as I gleefully read all of the literature pasted over the box I read the earth-shattering "Minoxidil topical solution 5% is not intended for frontal baldness or a receding hairline." With two minds as to send it back or just keep it for future losterity I have a little look around the hair loss information sites, certain that I had read that Minoxidil was good for receding hairlines. Low and behold I find a couple resources that say that the studies found that receding hairlines do benefit from Minoxidil, even going on to mention that it is the case despite some products discouraging it.
So what do you think? Do you dare me? Any words of warning? Maybe a warm welcome?
