NW2, I live in Lebanon, I bought my first Proscar (28 pills; 5mg) like 3 months ago at a USD price of around 33.3.
I just went to the pharmacy to buy my next Proscar stock as the old one is almost finished and will also expire in September, I was surprised that the pharmacist told me that it has a new price of $ 10.6 only! That is the same box, the same number of pills and the same dosage.
Is there any explanation for this? I mean I saved a lot of money and I am now thinking of starting minoxidil soon just to help with my retrograde alopecia on the sides.
UPDATE: just found out that the ministry of public health has decreased/updated the prices of many drugs, not only Proscar. And this new one was manufactured by MSD International GmbH (Puerto Rico) unlike the previous box which was manufactured in either UK or USA, I am not sure. Will this affect the drug's efficacy in any way?
