Well, i just read Joe Bucks book "Lucky Bastard". And he talks here re: on conan the pain of it all.
Apparently he got his moms genes---both his heavy frame (he was 6-1 and 240 at 19) and early baldness.
The interesting thing is how he talks about it hurting like hell, burning sensation, hearing the dr. inject his scalp, etc.
The first 6 procedures were topical novacain, later it was general anasthesia.
