Well, i just read Joe Bucks book "Lucky Bastard". And he talks here re: on conan the pain of it all.

Apparently he got his moms genes---both his heavy frame (he was 6-1 and 240 at 19) and early baldness.

The interesting thing is how he talks about it hurting like hell, burning sensation, hearing the dr. inject his scalp, etc.

The first 6 procedures were topical novacain, later it was general anasthesia.

Of all the difficulties related to hair transplant... The hair plug PAIN?

Pain?

Yeah, he did 6 procedures and lets admit it, it hurts like hell.

The more scar tissue you get the more it hurts.

And then, he did a general anasthet and they paralyzed his vocal chord for 9 months
and that also hurt like hell.
