I've been using a few different thickening shampoos for about a month:

Nizoral 2/3 times a week
Loreal Elvive Thickening Shampoo (every other day)

... and now I've replaced the Elvive with Jason's Thin to Thick. I would truly say this represents an (aesthetically speaking) CURE for those with early stage thinning, and that's no exaggeration!

I'd encourage some of you with early stage thinning to give it a shot. From reading around here over recent months, I guess that means the likes of Jeffss etc.

Yep – it’s good stuff but don’t go overboard with it.

Most people here will warn you about the alpha and beta hydroxy acids in the Thin-to-Thick shampoo (essentially salicylic acid). This stuff not only really cleans out your scalp but can also act as an acid peel and peel the top layer off your scalp – a potential cause for irritation. The Thin-to-Thick conditioner does not have the acids in it, so is much milder.

I use the Thin-to-Thick shampoo twice a week, immediately before my twice weekly Nizoral soak and only very mild shampoos the rest of the time (organic shampoos – Morrocco Method ones at this point in time). Seems to work well for me without losing too much of the thickening benefit, although after a day or two the thickening effect will wear off.

I will be purchasing the Thin-to-Thick conditioner soon which I plan to use every other day to hopefully maintain the thickness but not cause irritation!

Cheers

PS – also, you might have noticed a thread further down about the Jason Thin-to-Thick Elixir that is part of this range. Anybody tried it?
