I thought he looked fine shaved. He has the well defined facial structure to pull it off.
He talked about being suffocated into one look by being bald, that is one of my complaints with hair transplants. You are boxed into always having hair, you cannot go for the shaved look because of the scars.

ive always held him up as an example of somebody who looks great bald, hes always been one of the few bald men on uk tv who ive heard comments from women about being very handsome and sexy (maybe its his gayness they like).

he does look superb now in that clip

If you get an FUE you dont have noticible scarring

if you continue hair loss and can't keep up you can get the transplanted hair removed and go back to not having hair. probably the most expensive treatment plan, but you'll never be stuck looking unnatural

I think he looks better bald than with that receeded hairline. Bald --- he looks like a total badass.

So are you impressed with his results considering how advanced his balding was?I wonder if he has any donar left to mybe improve on the hairline area slightly.

umm don't know maybe i'm wrong, but it looks like to me has alot of concealer's in his hair now

He has definitely got a good result, my missus has put me through the torture of watching dancing on shite every week and i was genuinely surprised when he took his hat off,

he is a total bellend though.

Yeah I agree for 8months and just 3500 grafts thats an amazing result, I think there was some Toppik/Nanogen on there aswell. Still quite a transformation.

Suprised he opted for strip though. I just hope this does'nt send alot of uninformed bald guys to some of the terrible clinics in the UK.

Cool clip, I had no idea it affected him so badly as he has been wearing it buzzed down on the show as far back as I remember...its only recently he went hat prisoner (obv while his new hair grew out)

Great results considering how advanced his hairloss was, he made the right decision to just go back to NW3

Am I the only one to think that his hair loss was not that much advanced? Judging from his look on 2007, in the beginning of the video when he takes off his hat, I think he was in a state which is generally well accepted for men of this age. He had too much hair left to guarantee a good hair transplant result in the hands of a skilled surgeon.

The difficult to manage is cases NW6+, bare skin from the front to the back and low.

Yeah he still had plenty of vertex hair so there was alot to help the overall appearance when he grew it out.

Yeah 3,500 grafts wouldn't give you that much coverage and density for a norwood5/6 . Def loads of concealers used, but I must admit it look's good !

What's the better option then, this FUE?

Just seen him on some program and if anything, I dont' think he looks that great with hair.
He def looked better bald but he seems very happy about his new hair so good luck to him.

I agree I think bald suited him but then again people said that about me when I was shaving. I know what he means about feeling locked into a bald look, I felt like that too.

On the one hand I knew it looked okay and suited my head-shape, but I just hated that it seemed to define me.

Props to him, it's an impressive result but yeah he's def wearing a fair bit of concealer there!

Hoper, I'm in a similar boat to you.

98% of people said it suited me and even had a lot more girls hitting on me, a lot of folk said it brought out my eyes and I was fairly happy with all that of course. Of course I got a few negative comments too but it was resoundingly positive. I just felt a bit pigeon-holed as a baldman. e.g whenever a bald man would come on TV - be it Kelly Slater, Kojack, even black guys like Michael Jordan - I would be that man.

I also felt I couldnt' wear certain clothes anymore. I'm not a hipster but I wear a lot of indie-retro type clothes. I had a army shirt that I felt I look far too millitant in with a shaved head. Even wearing flannel/chequered shirts I felt a bit like I shouldn't be in them.
I ended up wearing sweaters/jumpers with blue jeans and brown trainers - just to play it safe all the time.

I will go back to the bald look once I lose more hair and if I get fed up of my diffuse nw3 with concealers etc but I can see exactly what he means by the bald image.

Hehe I almost could have written that exact paragraph myself. Worst example would be a long dark coat which I just had to stop wearing cos I felt exactly that way with the shaved head, too militant :)

You guys make great points. I shaved my head for two years and I liked it but I really hated feeling like I was limited in style and image. As for this British guy, I think he looked good bald. I'm not convinced that Norwood 3 looks better than his shaved head. But oh well, he seems to be happy.

Interesting to hear, nene your story as well. How did it go down with the girls as well? If anything, I got a lot more interested than I expected with them. Not the youngsters, but the over 28s etc and MILFs.
What do you do now? Are you NW3 or worse?

Hairhoper, I can see what you mean haha about the coat. What did you wear when you were shaved? I ended up wearing the 'bald' look e.g plain black/white shirts etc.
