Hello All,
It's been awhile since I've been on this website but I visited it religiously, everyday 3 or 4 years ago to help with my hair loss. I don't know if anyone remembers me but here I am.
My background is - I started Propecia about 11 years ago. Basically when Propecia was introduced I went out and got it. I started at about 25 years old and am 36 now. I've maintained my hair and am "happy" as I could be with what I have, wish I had more but that’s like of a balding man. I never tried anything else but shampoos and I did try Nano and Revivogen years ago. So, except for Nizoral, which I use every once in awhile, I have stuck with Propecia and that was all. I also had two hair transplant surgeries over the years (23) and (32) years old a total of about 1800 grafts.
It is to the point now where I would like to try something else. I've had Rogain Foam sitting in my closet for about a year now and still don't want to go that route. I do not want to go through the shedding period it may cause.
Since there is nothing to do at work I spent the better part of 5 hours going through this forum looking for solutions today. This brings me to my question which I could not find the answer too after reading about 80 posts.
I read a lot about Tricomin, Prox-n, Xandrox and other products along these lines. I am willing to try one of these but it seems from the reading I have done, all these products are meant to help minoxidil work better. Is this the case? If I am not using minoxidil are these products not worth trying. Everything I read leads me to believe that these products enhance the power of minoxidil? Please let me know.
It is amazing how many new things are out there since I last visited. Last time I was here it seems that Folligen was all the buzz. I didn't see one topic on Folligen... and the dermaroller, that wasn't around the last time I was here.
It's good to be back, very educational. Thanks for any advice you may give.
