I've heard some possible theories about constant scalp itch. Most seem to say that the itch and soreness in areas is where you are thinning. This seems like it could make some sense, except I often get this itching and soreness in areas are the side and back where the hair is completely fine. So is it caused by DHT or is it because Propecia lowers the DHT and maybe the chemical change has an effect of making the scalp more itchy and tender? I mean, it would be no surprise that they dont consider it a common side effect since the itch is "invisible" in the sense that the scalp looks the same. Any ideas? I'm guessing I should add neutrogena shampoo to my regimen or something.

Hey, I think im my case my scalp itch is due to male pattern baldness... however, after i started taking propecia i noticed hey... my scalp is fine now. so im guessing it was DHT related, also, it was itching where i was thining. I can only assume that the DHT was attacking my follicles.
