Itch and Regrowth?

Hi guys,
Was wondering, does anyone here have an itchy scalp, but still had regrowth or maintained with their regime?
The reason i ask is I know that a lot of the times, male pattern baldness and itchy scalp goes hand in hand, even taking finasteride and anti-inflammatorys may not put that itchy sensation to rest, but does that mean your regime is not working if the itchiness is still there? I'm interested to find out.

Contrary to popular beliefs I do think that itching can, in rare cases, be a good sign though. In almost all cases, itching means you are losing hair, however, for me itching has happened twice prior to major regrowth as well.

Sorry but that is bull - itching does not mean you are losing hair.

Actually, if your scalp is itching due to the inflammation caused by male pattern baldness, then you most likely are losing hair in those areas. I have yet to come across someone with an itchy scalp, especially in the typical male pattern baldness areas, who is not losing hair.

Okay, so the general consensus is... If your scalp is itching in the problem area and is not due to serb or focullitis (diagonsed by derm), then probably most likely due DHT still attacking your follicles yeah?
The thing is, most of the cases finasteride will NOT relieve you of that itch, so does that mean finasteride is not working for those cases? How come so many people say they've had success with finasteride then?
