Is topical spironolactone completely safe?

As it says in the title, is it a fact that it will not cause side effects when applies topically? I recognize it is extremely powerful orally, so I do not want a taste of the systematic effects. This includes other side effects than sexual as well. I've been lead by my research on the Web that it is perfectly safe, but I just wanted some input from others.

IIRC, there's a top poster on this site who has replaced finasteride with a combination of revivogen and topical spironolactone. I'm not sure how that went.

I did topical spironolactone for a few months and I had no sides whatsoever; getting sides from topical spironolactone is incredibly rare. It did nothing to my hair and was a hassle to keep using it so I stopped, but hopefully it will work for you!
