Is this version of minoxidil going to work for me?

Im a 21 year old black male with diffuse thinning. my whole scalp was thinning out evenly but until january my crown and the whole top of my scalp has gotten worse from the rest. I've been using lipogaine for about 4 and a half months the ingredients includes 5%minoxidil, Azetinol, Saw palmetto, Ketoconazole, Emu Oil, Retinol, Procyanidin Oligomers, GLA, ALA, Linoleic Acid and Oleic Acid. I wanted to use this because of the ingredients creating a dht blocker and didn't wanna risk the possible sides with finasteride. Now I know it's still somewhat early to expect results but I haven't shedded at all yet. Is that normal? Do diffuse thinners tend to respond slower or is it possibly just me?I think all its done so far is just slow down the thinning process. I've also been using nizoral for about a month now. If after a few more months that this doesn't happen to work, does it make sense to just give a normal minoxidil by itself a try?

No way to tell if or how any treatment will work. Not everybody will respond the same way. Only way to find out is to give it a try and give it time to work. Unfortunately what I mean by "time to work" is at least a year.
