Is This The Start Of Possible Hair Loss?

Recently (last few months) I have realised I have more hairs on my hands after styling my hair with wax. To see my current hair loss, today I counted the total hairs lost from a combination of washing my hair, drying it with a towel and then styling it, I counted about 100 hairs. My previous wash was just 2 days earlier and surely im also losing hair throughout the rest of the day. I'm 21 years old and I would say my hair was rather thick and about 5 inches long and I'm unable to see any receding yet. I was just wondering if this is worth worrying about and if the hair loss is too high, I would rather act now than leave it too late.

100 hairs just from styling your hair is definitely a lot, but it's not necessarily male pattern baldness. If you have a family history of hair loss, that could be what it is, but I would expect to notice thinning or a receding hairline at this stage. I would suggest going to get blood tests done perhaps to see if there's some underlying physical cause. If not, try a dermatologist next.

It wasn't 100 just from styling, but also from washing with shampoo and drying with a towel
