Hey all of you i am 18 and noticed recession on my temples 3 months ago i visited a lot of derms and they all told me that i am maturing,the last derm i visited gave me minoxidil and told me to use it i want to, also he told me i had nothing to worry about but i am worrying about it too much i started minoxidil last night but i am not sure if i should continue because i am too young, i dont think i am going to stop using it but i am not certain at all please help me by checking out these pics bu the way i have no bald in my family my father is 45 and he only has a little bit recession on the temples but not too much for a 45 year old man help me please

Start with saw palmetto, pumpkin seed oil, keto and sulforaphane

Take pictures of your corners every 2 weeks under the same conditions

If u keep receeding you have to think about finasteride

Id say 2 week is good enough

I disagree with running haurline

If you check it once per year you can receed hardcore without noticeing especially with long hair

I went from norwood 0 to norwood 2 in 7 month and i barely noticed it bc my long hair covered it up

Use it but watch your face, if you start developing early sings of aging or dark bags under your eyes lower your dose and/or go off of it.

My father has a receeded hairline,probably a NW2.5 but i have no bald in my family. I dont think i am going to quit minoxidil because why should i?

Your doctor didn't tell you why you should use Minoxidil? It's for hair loss. It stops/slows down hair loss

Very basic analogy but finasteride lowers dht which shrinks the hair follicle. First line of defence is always finasteride. Look at hair treatments on webmd. No harm in adding minoxidil as well.
