Is This The Beginning Of A Bald Spot?

My hairline has been receding for the past couple years and the only thing that's been getting me through my depression is me constantly telling myself that I'm lucky I'm not getting a bald spot but unfortunately after getting a haircut today I've noticed what looks like the beginning of one

I've had the scar since I was a kid that and I'm talking about the patch underneath it, any chance this could be related to something else besides balding? I thought bald spots started higher up?

I've never noticed it before but I've always paid more attention to my receding hairline as I didn't think I'd have to deal with this as I'm only 22 ugh.

After speaking to my cousin, she mentioned the mark on the cupboard behind my bed which was caused by my head

Is it possible I rubbed off some of my hair being in that position 24/7 or is it proof that the spot has always been there?

I'm asking because my brother started losing his hair the exact same way as me but he hasn't lost any from the back and he's nearly 30

Get yourself to your GP or preferably a dermatologist. That could be alopecia areata. It's very unusual to develop a bald spot in that area

Ok, I'll see the GP tomorrow

Just to be clear though, you're talking about the circular thinning area below the scar (which I've always had) right?

Ahaha! How is that even possible? Is your head made out of stone?

Lol I'm in my room a lot and because my laptop is right next to my bed & I work from home I've been sitting in the same position every day for several hours.

Went to the GP who said it doesn't look like alopecia or a bald spot:

You can't really see anything now that my hair's grown in
