Here's some backstory, 3 months ago I was going through a very stressful time and was smoking quite a lot (smoking has always caused me to lose some hair, however, it stops whenever I quit and this has been regular no biggie). I have absolutely no one in both my families who is balding. I am 21. My head was full and thick 3 weeks ago, however, I noticed some weird thinning around the front and then it soon started spreading like wild fire(all on the top of the scalp, nothing on the sides)... my hairline is not receding either. The only thing I wanna know is if I'm balding or could this actually be telogen effelvium and should go see a dermatologist about it? Or just hop on rogaine? When my hair is dry, there is nothing noticeable except on the sides of my head (not the temples, further down) here are some pictures:
