For the past 8 or so months I've noticed big changes in my hair. My hairline has slightly receded and my hair crown seems less dense. I also have been experiencing lots of shedding during this time. I shampoo/condition my hair twice a week and I notice lots of hair coming out (probably a total of around 40-70). The fallen hairs all have different lengths and thicknesses. I did some tests by rubbing the sides of my head and I noticed some hair falling out there as well, so I know it's not confined to just the top of my head. The areas of my hairline which have slightly receded also aren't "cleanly" receded like you see on many people. Rather they still have some hairs, some thick some thin, but the area is a lot less dense than in the past.

Also I thought I would add some additional information although I don't know if it's related or not. I'm 20 years old, and don't have much family history of balding (only a few people are balding and the worst is probably NW4, which isn't too bad considering their age). In fact, no one began losing their hair at this age. I still do have acne, and I did notice it got a lot worse as my hair began to change. Past year has also been extremely stressful, definitely one of the most stressful periods of my life thus far. My diet has also been terrible in the past year or so, it was full of sugar and low on things like protein, vitamins, and minerals. I also do have dandruff, and my scalp is constantly itchy especially near the crown, on the top of the head, and occasionally near the temples.

Do you guys think this sounds like male pattern baldness, Telogen Effluvium, or something else? Also is there any hope of any regrowth? Thanks.

Generally if its in male pattern baldness areas its male pattern baldness, if your sides are going as well it could be DUPA,Telogen Effluvium,Thyroid,Alopecia Icognita and a few others.

Nobody here can give you a solid answer, your best option is to go see a hair transplant Surgeon or a Dermatologist preferbly male with a full head of hair.

^You're more likely to get a more credible answer from almost any member on these forums thats spent more than a couple years here. Dermatologists almost always know jack shit about hair loss.... It doesnt matter anyway, because the only thing either a derm or hair transplant surgeon would prescribe you anyway is Finasteride. So you're out of options regardless.
