Up until May of this year i had pretty good hair, like i could style it, grow it long, whatever right. Then after growing my hair decently long, i got it cut, and ever since that cut things have gone to hell. I woke up one morning, (the morning after my 21st birthday actually) and it felt like my hair had thinned over night. I was like wtf. Then it just periodically kept happening when i would wake up and notice it thinner. And thinner it kept getting. Now my hair thickness is like half of what it was in May and its thinning everywhere, along the sides, along the back. it almost feels like my sides are worse. I had a dermatologist appointment and he was bald himself and he just gave me a pamphlet on Telogen Effluvium and told me it could be due to weight loss. He set me up for a scalp biopsy but i couldnt make it because of work (i work on a mobile oil rig and my schedule is never normal). Now my hair just feels so dead and lifeless and dry. and this all happened over 5-6 months. is it just intensely aggressive male pattern baldness, in the complete diffuse thinning pattern. or do i have some sort of disease? i would take pictures but sim seriously afraid of what they will look like. this is already destroyed my confidence and ive been drinking more and eating poorly and i dont ever want to go out and pick up girls. thsi sh*t is killing me. why is it happening so fast and all at once? ive even been thinking about packing my sh*t and going to live in the mountains.
oh and i have to add that its like the hair is thinning as it grows. i didnt know this was possible. it literally is getting thinner as it grows. some of the hairs that i shed in the shower taper down and get thinner as they reach the white bulb. and the hair seems to be changing color and going from brown to a very light color. WHAT THE f***!!!
