Is This Minoxidil Absorption Theory Legit?

Yesterday I applied minoxidil right before sleep
My hair was damp when I applied it
I usually sleep with a beanie on so I don't get it on my pillow etc
but my beanie was dirty so I figured I'd wear a plastic bag covering my hair
When I woke up, my hair was still damp
So my theory is, if your hair is damp throughout the entire night as long as you have minoxidil added
Shouldn't there be an increase in absorption?
Since the best time to use minoxidil is when the hair is damp
Or am I just speculating nonsense? :D

Appreciate the answers guys

You're just speculating, if your minoxidil contain alcohol; it will properly evaporate. Unless your household is freezing cold from winter, that your hair maintained dampness.

Well my hair wasn't dry in the morning that's for sure lol. Maybe the lack of airway with the plastic bag made my hair stay wet?

No, I was saying that in regards to you suggesting minoxidil caused it; not denying its was damp. It was due to your beanie retaining the water on your scalp.

Oh, right. But you don't think this theory could increase absorption?
You know, think into it; i'd imagine it could make for better absorption. Similar to how women apply chemicals onto their heads, and sit with a plastic hair net on, in order for it to penetrate through scalp pores effectively. Be mindful, that doing this frequently, you could run the risk of morning headaches. If I were you, I would just let the bathroom get steaming hot from shower running; then apply whilst pores are open. Don't overnight with minoxidil on. You scratch your head in your sleep, and migrate it God knows where. Then again, you say you wear beanies to sleep.

Good point haha. I don't think I'll continue with it to be honest, it's just an interesting theory I had in mind. I woke up with a sore throat so I suppose sleeping with wet hair ain't really a good idea. Thanks for your input :D
