Is this in your opinion a bad template?

Hi all,

So I am trying to get a hair system from a certain supplier and he told me to make a template and to send him picture with the template on top of my head.

He said I made a good attempt but that I should make it narrower at the sides and back perimeters.

What are your thoughts?

His recommendation is the thicker red line, as compared to what I originally did (thinner red line).

No idea why he would suggest going more narrow when it's clear where the more thinning areas are. Perhaps someone with more expertise could weigh in

I am looking at it, and I see that the suggested template does not cover the entire thinning areas.

Not much of a difference imo.
