I've only recently got back into the gym. I'm probably the correct weight for my height. I'm 6ft6 and roughly 195lbs, I'm not fat but my stomach, chest and thighs are a bit flabby and could do with firming up.

The instuctor at the gym wrote me up a program.

I start off with 20 minutes on the treadmill at a speed of 10km.
Then I go on the crosstrainer for 10 minutes.

Then I do about 30 minutes worth of weights. My arms are usually exhausted after the weights and I feel like I can't lift any more, which is probably a good sign. She has me doing 2 sets with the weights. The first set is of 10 reps and the second is of 12 reps. Is this a good idea? When I went to the gym a couple of years back I did 3 sets of 8 reps.

Then I finish off by doing sit ups and a hard 10 minute cycle on the exercise bike.

I know I haven't gone into any great detail, but if I do the above program 5 times a week do you think I'll see results. What would you guys add?

Also there is a pool at my gym, is swimming of much benefit for toning up. If so how long would I have to swim for?

Thanks
