23 year old male here and never thought I would have to worry about this at such a young age but there's a bald spot on my crown. The rest of my hair is very thick so i don't know if it's a cow lick or something I should be concerned about. Any thoughts would be much appreciated

no dude. many people have a crown that looks like that. The way the hair goes in different directions makes look like it's thinning. to instantly just jump on treatments based on that would be very irresponsible

Sorry to say but from that photo it does look like you're balding. However, it could just be the lighting or whatever as even people with full heads of hair can have a crown that looks similar to that in strong lighting. Has it always been like this or have you just noticed it recently?

Yeah that. It's a swirl, not a bald spot. Even girls get that. As Illusions said, under harsh light pretty much everyone's crown looks like that. Think about it, honestly how often do you inspect your own crown under heavy or natural outdoor lighting? But do it once and you see scalp, then you start freaking out and obsessing over it. It becomes psychological and you start panicking about hair loss because of a spot that literally nobody else notices.

Do NOT start taking meds. DO stop inspecting your hair in the mirror. Try not to think about hair loss anymore. You're fine bro ;)

Looks like a normal swirl and not a bald spot imo.

Keep an eye on it, if it gets any bigger/thinner I'd consider taking action.

hey joey , excuse me to bother you again, but it has been 24 days off propecia and my puffy nipples are less puffy. certainly my dht level are back to normal . Do you think that 2 more week will be enough for the pufinness to disapear totaly ?

Michel, my mans, you can't go around hijacking nearly every posters posts.

But yes, for me about a month and a half off coupled with excessive cardio and change in my diet did it for me. But remember, I also used a letro protocol to rid myself of gyno. A lot of the puffy in the nips is straight up water retention with some fat, nothing burns that sh*t off like cardio. Increased estrogen causes more water retention. Ai's like letro leave you dry. This is why a lot of finasteride users get puffy nips with no actual gyno glands

ok maybe i have a little bit of water retention . Because my gyno is extremely minor , several Doctor told me i had nothing , but i have puffy nipples . I know that AI would work, but i might cause a shed ? i have some dht cream , andractim , maybe i could use this .
And i am very athletic, so the puggy nipples looks weird , one Doctor ask me if i had done a steroid cycle , but never did . that is unfair.
Now my nipples are only puffy when it is warm

I've been lurking these forums lately and bro..... you tell EVERYONE they are balding and to get on treatment. Sometimes it does look like something, but in this case that looks like a big cowlick. You have no way of knowing if his cowlick has always been that way. If it hasn't, yeah he's balding, but if it has he's GOOD. The hair around his cowlick doesn't look thin, he's probably fine. Even on posts where the consensus is that the dude is probably good, I see you say "balding get treatment." It's very uncool

I am not telling EVERYONE they are balding, lol. Because when it is obvious they are only fishing for compliments, I don´t answer. But most people who come here are balding. He says he is bald at the crown, rest of the hair is thick. That´s typical for male pattern baldness. I am not an expert, just posting my opinion. If he wants to be sure he should visit a few (yes more than one) dermatologists and not post pictures on the Internet.
I think it is crucial to start treatment as early as possible, because maintaing is so much easier than regrowing. But maybe you are right and I am gonna let the newbies remain in their denial phase a few months longer and let them lose their hairline. Not my problem.....

Btw. the post you attached is only talking about Asians, I don´t remember having ever seen such swirls on white people.

I have always had a gigantic swirl and I'm 100% Italian! I also have always had very fine and straight hair. It doesn't apply to Asians, it applies to people with fine straight hair
