Is this a cowlick or balding?

I am getting slightly paranoid about balding, even though I am only 15 turning 16 in a week.

That is the picture. I think, and truly hope its a cowlick, but I don't know for sure Any opinions?

Its like the whirl in your hair, where your hair splits. Most people have one near their crown area. Do you think this is what my thing is?

It might not even be a whorl so much as where your hair is parting.

Unless your have hairline recession I wouldn't really jump to say you are balding! lol

every one has a growth direction in the crown of the head

your "part" is extremely minimal
at 16 i wouldn't worry about thick hair like yours
