Is There Anything That Works Besides Minoxidil/finasteride

First, let me introduce what I've currently been doing. I've been experiencing thinning hair for some time. I used to experienced with a lot of different herbs, emu oil, and a lot of other talked about stuff for hair loss. None of them worked. Maybe at first hair would seem thicker, and had more volume. But these were just my hopeful eyes, and none of these treatment worked.

Over a year ago, I finally caved in, and decided to try minoxidil. I was too scared to try it first, with all the reported side effects, but I wanted to keep my hair. I knew I was going to eventually lose, so I took the plunge hoping for the best, and crossing fingers of no side effects.

I never really experienced any, maybe a slight headache at first. Itching scalp too, I suppose, but nothing real serious.

I went with lipogaine, seemed to get good reviews. Has 5% minoxidil, with other added ingredients. Honestly, I don't think it has done anything in re-growing hair. I don't think I've lost that much, never experience a shed. I just applied it in the front where I'm thinking, and a bit on my crown.

The last few weeks, I've been only using lipogaine once a day. Mainly, I got tired of wearing it twice a day, because its impossible to really style your hair with it. So you often look much thinner than you are (and kinda defeats the purpose when it comes to appearances).

This week I started using Kirkland foam as my first application of minoxidil. Still using lipogaine, but just at night. Oh yeah, I've also added azelaic acid flakes to both Kirkland and lipogaine. I end up liquifying the Kirkland foam with bit of the flakes. Even when liquified it still is easy to apply to the hair while still styling it.

For 3 months, I've been using Cayenne for my hair too.

The last few weeks I've been using caffeine shampoo with ketoconazole.

I've also been using the gel. Both have really helped to improve the volume of my hair, and do a great job at disguising my thinning hair. I have no idea if either will actually help re-grow my hair (probably not, didn't really buy it for that either), but my hair definitely looks stronger. So hey, I'm happy.

Anyways, so that's everything I'm doing currently to fight my thinning hair.

Is there anything else out there that remotely works? I don't want to try finasteride. I just don't feel comfortable doing it. I know it works for some, and that's fine.
