There are 5/6 studies conflict with each other.

some showed it might increase testosterone and dht and others that it lowers testo levels.

im a bit paranoid with this, because i was drinking green tea since december thinking it can help with hair loss and maybe it speed up the male pattern baldness :(

The medical literature can be haphazard sometimes. It may simply be that we can't discern what the effects of green tea on overall health let alone hair health might be, in which case you shouldn't bother trying and you should just consume it when you want.

Which studies would you like to discuss?

"Mice treated with black tea tended to have a greater serum testosterone concentration (34.4%, P = 0.50) and had a 72% lower DHT concentration than controls (P < 0.05), suggesting that black tea may contain components that inhibit the activity of 5α-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone to the more bioactive DHT. Green tea tended to increase serum testosterone and DHT levels by 73.8% (P = 0.14) and 194% (P = 0.076), respectively. The combination of SPC and green tea reduced serum levels of DHT (P < 0.05). "

That study by itself is too little information to justify you changing your life. There are countless compounds alleged to increase or decrease DHT, but if it's just one study or even two it's meaningless. There's no justification for you changing your life unless it's backed by robust science, which in this context includes replication.

personally I dont think it matters much either way. I dont think drinking green tea is going to prevent or change male pattern baldness at all. Just so just personal choice. Not everything you eat or drink has a profound effect on everything else.

The truth is that the only treatments that work with any good reliability or effect are the Big 3 and hair transplants.

Have drunken 3 - 4 cups of black tea since I was 12. Still started balding, most people here drink black tea daily, surely people would have reported some affects of lowered DHT caused by this. But no. So I highly doubt it has any sort of a significant impact.

Still though, green tea is scientifically beneficial in many ways. So is black tea to a lesser degree. So no harm in adding it, but I wouldn't expect anything from it.

Imo we don't even have a first sentence on tea and hairloss.

You shouldn't concern yourselves with questions on which there is no reliable actionable science.

You are right on this.. if black tea lowered 72% dht we shouldnt take finasteride and if green tea increase 194% dht bodybuilders wouldnt take steroids
