Is there a correlation between faster hair growth and faster receding?

I have always found that the more i try and speed up hair growth the faster i have receded. is there a connection there between faster hair growth and receding? most reports i seen suggest you can slow it by keeping your hair growing... but doesn't seem to work for me...

And its not a shed. its straight up rapid shrinking.

I don't know how one speeds up hair growth. Caffeine? It's never clear with hair meds if they are supposed to speed growth or increase anagen or increase hair count so my prediction is that this question is not resolvable.

Well Caffeine is said to be one. biotin supplements is another. there is a number of things that certainly help even if they don't do miracles.

I just don't know how you are correlating it to hair loss in terms of how fast it occurs but is this a question with a pay-off or just something you are wondering?

I'm interested to know more about this too. Read some guys here who were claiming to have faster hair loss while taking biotin but maybe it was simply a perception issue? I doubt something like biotin has much impact on hair loss since it doesn't affect your hormonal profile.

Here's the thing. Some meds/hormones appear to be able to change hair phase cycles of individual follicles. Ideally, we want the follicle to re-set in place but instead the body might dump the crummy follicle and start over. Meds that help hair loss might work this way via sheds conceptually.

I just find i get the male pattern baldness itch when i use alot of hair growth stimulants. and i don't know why. all i can think is that trying to make my hair grow is just thinning it out faster...

When i don't use them, there is far less inflammation. this has always confused me. seeing as alot of people claim this shouldn't be the case.

My hair has always grown extremly fast. I've read somewhere that straight hair grows a bit faster than other hair types. However my hairloss this far has actually been very slow. However I'm 31, so i suspect it will soon speed up.
