Is Shedding Really A Balding Thing?

At first I thought hair just fell out, but I've been on a crash course in male pattern baldness and learned hair doesn't just fall out never to return, hair constantly falls out but in the balding process it comes back shorter and thinner in each cycle until it's finally gone.

So is it really important to bother counting hairs that fall out on your comb or when you shampoo?

Unless of course youre losing hairs by the hundred, but then you have some other form of alopecia.

Is this correct?

If you are seeing way more hairs falling than usual then yes you are balding. Don't let people on here fool you into thinking losing 300 hairs in the showers is normal. You can lose 300 hairs per day and it can still take a long time to be noticeable that you are balding to others since each cycle it gets just a tiny bit thinner. So you can start noticing hairs falling at like 20 but for some people until 25 other people and maybe even yourself wont be able to see a difference on your hair.

Is it because of the cycles getting shorter?
