Nobody knows why the trials for hair loss were stopped. There is only speculation surrounding this topic. Some say that trials were simply too expensive or not worth the money. Id

I find that hard to believe, since the hairloss market is potentially worth billions, though as you say, it's all speculation.

what are you talking about? propecia has been a failure with regard to making money for merck and recouping their costs of the trials. glaxo looked at that experience for merck and then looked at their avodart and realized it was a no go. lol. they thought it was too similar to propecia to make money and as i said propecia was basically a failure in terms of making money for merck. and throw in the counterfeiting of avodart generics internationally and glaxo made the right decision.

Jayman is right. This was similar with RU 58841 which is like the strongest anti-dht topical out right now. (Funny how both the strongest internal and topical drugs against hairloss out there weren't pursued lol ) The French company that invented it decided to shut down that division , since they felt that it wouldn't be profitable in the long run. These companies have shareholders to answer to , so their number one goal is to make a drugs that are profitable not to make the best effective drug possible or else we would have been light years ahead in the fight against hairloss.
