Will standard medical insurance cover this? If not is it more expensive through the doctor's office?

I wanted to talk to my doctor about taking Propecia to see if it is right for me, but do you think he would know enough about it to give me the right advice? what did you guys do when u started?

I went to see a "dermotoligist" who specialized in cosmetic issues (gotta love california). He does botox and all that stuff. Anyway, he sells 4 bottles of Merck Brand Propecia for $150. At $37.50 each that's cheaper than anywhere else you'll find it.
