is my hairline receding? Lately I’ve been losing hair more often when I shower and my dad isn’t bald and my grandpa isn’t.
I went to a specialist they said I’m not going bald or anything but I don’t know. it definitely feels like my hair is receding more back. And no I’m not stress
My hair used to be straight but no I got curly hair
My hair curls shown in the picture so maybe that’s why I’m losing hair or something

What do you guys think? Is this normal?

Maybe stop this point until 40. But im sure you keep hair in your 20s. Its seem not agressive

id say it looks quite aggressive judging by the amount of miniaturisation at the hairline and your age.

So basically I’m screwed?? I love my hair imma cry lmao

It's early days mate, you've caught it at the best time the miniaturised hairs that I can see are still thick it is just my opinion that if you see clear signs of ΑGΑ at your age the odds of you staying a low Norwood aren't great. Hopping on finasteride would stop this in its tracks and probably return those miniaturised hairs to normal functioning hair follicles.

I don't know it's weird. It all starts to happen at once. Like not only that but I can even do my hair without pieces of hair falling like crazy, it's scary. When I went to the dermatologist he said I'm fine and just said come checkup in a month or so he prescribed me a shampoo. Other than that it's still falling. Could this be a point where my body is shedding and just return back to normal?

I assume you mean Telogen Effluvium. Unless you have experienced MAJOR physical and/or emotional trauma in the last few months, it’s not likely.

That said, I don’t think you should jump to any conclusions or decisions at this point. I would listen to your dermatologist. He has actually examined you and is more qualified than anyone here. When you see him again that will make things clear one way or the other and you can go from there.

Your derm thought you were fine but prescribed a shampoo? What was the shampoo?
