So recently I have shaved my hair for a change with one of those babyliss trimmers you use yourself. Now I am worried my hair is thinning. My dads granddad lost hair on top but had it on his sides and back and he was 73, my dad has all his hair apart from he has the m shaped hairline and he's 48. My mums male side all have a full head of hair with no receding hairline and my mums dad has full head of hair at 63. So if going on hereditary genes I thought I would not be thinning at 23. The front part of my head looks thicker than the rest. What do you guys think? Am I just being paranoid. I love my hair and don't want to lose it lol. Btw the line on my head is a scar I've had all my life. 20131106_120908.jpg20131106_120739.jpgIMG_20131106_121554.jpgSnapshot_20131106.JPGSnapshot_20131106_1.JPGSnapshot_20131106_2.JPGIMG_20131014_122300.jpg fv3rewdefvf

Yes, your hair is thinning. It's early days though.

At a minimum, get on finasteride (proscar quartered) and see how you progress, you may not need minoxidil. If after 12 months you aren't thickening, but you are maintaining, then get on minoxidil 5%. You've caught it early, there's a very good chance you'll keep your hair for many years to come if you are consistent with the treatment.

Some people appear to be balding when shaved but their hair looks absolutely fine with longish hair. Your hair looks great in that last picture with long hair. You may be losing hair or not. I wouldn't jump on any hair loss treatment just yet. Go see a hair transplant doctor. I went to see one the other day and they had this camera thingy that shows how healty your hair follicles are or if you are balding.
