Is Minoxidil supposed to thin your hair?

I started using the foam a week ago and my hair is way thinner than before. Kind of freaked me out when I saw how thin the front of my hair was today.

Is this just part of the shed? Will the hairs grow back thicker?

how long did you give it to come out with this conclusion ? (no offence meant of course)

if you are barely starting using it , the hair that was doomed to fall out will fall out -> means massive shedding within 2-3 weeks

afterwards it should stop , the healthy hair will be kept from falling out , the unhealthy one will get thicker , and in some cases the hair that is gone would grow back as a duvet in the first place and eventually evolve to normal hair.

give it 6 months ,you'll see the results.

good luck

Time will tell, keep it up for 4 months. You experienced the initial shed. Probably your weak hairs that were close to the end of their growing cycle. They will grow back. Whether they grow back thicker or stronger is anyone's guess.

The middle of my hairline is getting thinner every day. I can see my scalp so easily now, it's so ****ing noticeable. I heard about shedding but I didn't think my hair would thin this badly. I'm about to cry tbfh. What do I dooooo
