Is minoxidil doing this to me?

I know about the reducement of collegen on minoxidil and my forehead is getting pretty bad. I noticed it 2 months after starting minoxidil and it seems to be getting worse.

The dark under eye circle that i really only have under 1 eye seems to be more prominent too, I've always had it but it seems to be getting worse.
Should I quit Minoxidil? I don't want to because minoxidil destroyed my hairline on one side but its starting to grow back in a think and stopping might stop that from happening.

I'm only 24 so this seems excessive to me. Also if anyone knows how to get rid of that redness i'd be greatful. It's not related to minoxidil I had it before treatment.

It's possible minoxidil is making your forehead lines more prominent, but for 24, you're pretty well off. I am also 24 and have no lines, but I've seen people in the 18-20 range who have like massive forehead wrinkles, not even "fine lines"... This is not to say I think you are supposed to look to be aging at 24, but just saying. :)

I would honestly keep going with minoxidil, but would probably lower the dosage just a tiny bit and or up the fluid intakes. Green tea is awesome for hydration and for its skin benefits, that's something you could consider, in addition to drinking more water. Also, do you moisturize your skin at all? These kind of things make a difference I'd say.

As far as the redness goes - I do a yoghurt/lemon facemask that works wonders for that (and makes my skin tighter and nicer anyway). In addition to that, green tea is ought to help with that a bit too.

I probably over do it with the moisteriser to be honest. I tend to put it on quite thick so much so that its sometimes still visable when i wake up. Iv'e been using a mixture of olay total effects and cetaphil moisteriser for dry skin. The dark eye circle under 1 eye looks silly and the wrinkles on my forehead horizontally i don't mind. It's the vertical dent that goes right up my forehead that makes me feel ugly. At first i thought oh its a frown line but then it's connected to the dent that goes all the way up and there's no way me frowning could cause that I don't think.

I know my Vit D is low but i think i consume a decent amount of water. Definitely moisturising enough. With minoxidil i apply about 0.6 0.7 ish on my grown with the liquid then bout a finger nail amount of foam on my temple which was completely fine before i used minoxidil -.- Should never have used it there but thanks to the shed now i feel i need to use it to regain my hairline. I think i can regain it as the hairs there don't seem miniturised it's just thin as hell after the shed. I'm not on propecia but will be soon.

Clear paranoia. I thought you said minoxidil destroyed your hair, and you don't recommend it to anyone? You got to stop sharing your panic as fear mongering and try to relax some more.
If you are this worried about minoxidil, I'm sure you will end up in propeciahelp, because of psychosomatic effects.
Just chill dude. You got lots of hair, and finasteride kan maintain it for a long time.

I never said I don't recommend it to anyone, I recommended people use propecia first. Minoxidil did destroy my hairline and I'm hoping what was lost with the initial shed does come back with continued use. It's not my hair I'm talking about here Eenrak, Read what i wrote, these are real visible effects which have occured since starting minoxidil. I even included pictures for god sake and here you are going oh all its all in your head. No, It's not in my head, Don't assume everyone who experiences sides is a propecia help type of person and don't be willfully ignorant to the effects people are experiencing.

Yeah minoxidil definitely causes darker under eye circles. Side effect of vasodilators. It happens to me as well but benefits outweigh the side effects so i live with it.
The so called forehead wrinkles aren't really wrinkles, its built up fluids that makes it look like wrinkles....keep the dosage to 1ml twice a day that helps minimise the side effects..

Maybe I should have been more clear. You are seeing things that are not there. You haven't posted pictures of the dark circles around the eyes before, so I assume you didn't take pictures, and now just assume that they weren't there before. Humans are forgetful, especially when you weren't spending time looking for side effects.
there is almost no difference on your forehead. Did you know that lifting your eye brows can cause these lines? I had friends at the age of 14 who had crazy lines on his forehead. Most people tend to lift their eyebrows when examining their hair, as I am sure you do on a daily basis.

Just chill out, forget about sides and stop posting threads like this. It won't help you or others for that matter.

Good luck with finasteride, and don't look for side effects

I think I'm using under 2ml a day. A lot of days I only do 1 application. I use about 0.6ml on my crown and a fingernail amount on my shedded hairline.

I do have dark under eye circles or should i say circle on one side. Iv'e always had it and my concern with minoxidil is that its making it worse. I know it didn't cause it i'm stating the dark circle i have under 1 eye looks worse now.

In regards to the lines, It's not the horizontal lines i care about. It's the big one right up the middle. That's actually what my seemed frown line is, It starts at the eyebrow level and goes all the way up, It goes along the gap everyone has with their skull of the 2 frontal plates. I never noticed it last year, and thanks to my red skin iv'e always been extremely vain. I use to take a mirror outside just to see what i looked like in natural light to see if i looked okay before going out and if i didn't i wouldn't go for god sake lol. I would have noticed it if it was there before this.

I know the finasteride sides, I just don't care about 90% of them. Sexual sides for example don't bother me as much as hairloss does. Growing boobs would.

My advice would be decrease dosage of minoxidil to 1ml a day and lower intake of sodium in your diet.

Water retention which I think is slightly visible in your pics.

Food packed with sodium includes any processed food, cold cuts, pizza, fast foods, caned soups...

Amount of sodium should be included on nutrition facts label.

Sodium based foods generally give you a bloated body. It's like having hair pressure inside of your body and skin.
